Outdoor Adventure Learning for Y2s
Wednesday, 07 June 2017
Year 2 pupils at Bolton School Infant School had a fun-packed and adventurous outdoor learning day at the nearby Anderton Centre.
Teacher Mrs Clarke reflected: "We went canoeing and sang heads, shoulders, knees and toes whilst balancing in a canoe! We also learned that Eskimos used to bless the canoe by dipping their heads into the water – we did this too!
"We collected rubber ducks and floats while canoeing. We also heard a story around a campfire, made a den and toasted marshmallows – yum – while learning what two things our instructor would take to survive on a desert island: Gordon Ramsay and Bear Grylls! We learned how to play archery and some of us even got a bulls-eye! We were all exhausted but happy after a super day!"
