"Recently I won the Mensa Child Genius Competition and I believe that it was possible because of the academic skills and the skills to perform in front of an audience and to keep calm under pressure that I acquired at Hesketh House."

Pupils Help Clean Up Park

Tuesday, 17 May 2016

Pupils in one of the Reception classes at Bolton School’s Infant School have been reading the stories of Percy the Park Keeper together. Recently they received a letter from Percy about a litter problem at the park.

The children decided to make their own posters to put up in the park to tell people to put their rubbish in the bin. They were also keen to go to the park and help Percy out by collecting the litter. Their teacher, Mrs Brookes, therefore arranged a visit to the park to help tidy up.

Although it was a challenge picking up some of the items people had left behind, by the end of the visit they were experts with the litter grabbers!

The pupils enjoyed themselves and loved helping out their local community.
