Children in Reception at Beech House Infant School had the chance to try out Judo as part of the School’s Sport Relief activities. Each of the Reception classes enjoyed a workshop with Antony Parkinson in which they learned a Judo pin, tried their best to escape from it, and played a game to help with footwork.

Pupils wore the special uniform used for Judo and followed the sport’s traditions, even receiving instructions to start and stop activities in Japanese!

Later in the week, older pupils enjoyed Circusology Workshops as part of Sport Relief week, and on Friday the children attended school in their sportiest outfits to raise money for this worthy cause.
