On the last day of term, Beech House had a very special visit from Santa Claus! Arriving on his vintage bus all the way from Lapland, Santa was the highlight of the day for the children.
There was a definite buzz in Beech House reception, which had been decked out as Santa's Grotto with lights, Christmas trees and parcels to set the mood. As the children waited in groups of six in the Grotto for their turn to board Santa's bus, they could barely contain their excitement - especially when they were told that Santa might have brought along a present in advance of Christmas Day!
When the time came to climb aboard Santa's bus, each child rushed to meet him. He asked the groups who had been good this year, and of course was answered with six raised hands every time.
Santa addressed each of the children by name, mentioning something on their Christmas wish-list and promising to see what he could do about getting it for them. This personalised touch made the experience all the more magical for the children.
At the end of the visit, Santa handed out a present to all of the girls and boys. Luckily, no one was on his Naughty List! The children left the bus with beaming smiles, and ran to share what Santa had said with their friends and the rest of the class.
The children's infectious happiness spread throughout Beech House, giving a festive atmosphere to the whole day.
