Year Two recently visited Jodrell Bank as part of their space topic. The children looked at the Lovell telescope, played on the Whispering Dishes and had races with wheels.

Pupils also took part in two workshops. In the first session they found out more about astronauts, including what they need to take with them, including to the children’s surprise a nappy! They also enjoyed an inflatable planetarium workshop, looking at a range of constellations and recognising lots from when the classes made their own constellations using marshmallows and cocktail sticks.

Everyone had a great day at Jodrell Bank.
