Toy Mountain Donated to Bolton Lions

Friday, 04 December 2015

Families at Beech House have been showing their generosity of spirit this Christmas by donating a ‘Toy Mountain’ to Bolton Lions. This was part of the Lions’ Caring Christmas Appeal, which distributes gifts to families who would not otherwise be able to buy presents for their children.

The Beech House children and their families gave a huge variety of new and second hand toys give to the appeal and the Bolton Lions were delighted when they came to collect the donations.

Last year, the club managed to help around 500 families by providing 1,069 children with Christmas gifts. This made up a total of about 6,500 presents overall, as each child receives a small selection of goodies as part of their gift.

This year, the Bolton Lions have teamed up with Bolton Lads and Girls Club, Urban Outreach and Bolton at Home in the hope of providing gifts to 2,000 children.
