Year 1 Nativity Full of Little Stars

The Year 1 pupils’ performance of Shine Star, Shine made for a magical nativity. The story focused on the big star that needed to light the way to the newborn baby Jesus, but could not shine.

The other stars tried to encourage the big star to shine with stories, jokes and dancing, but it was only when they took him to see the newborn baby that he was able to shine again! Then all the stars danced to ‘Shine’ by Take That, and the shepherds and wise men were able to find their way to the stable.

The children sang lots of songs, including the French carol ‘Viens ici’, during their performance. Some of the Year 1 pupils also danced: the animals were very cute and swung their tails a lot, while the angels were sweet and graceful.

Parents and family members thoroughly enjoyed the Year 1 pupils’ retelling of the nativity story.
