"The best thing I can say of the school was that it worked. It embedded in me habits of reading and thinking as well as an enduring curiosity about just about everything."

AJIS Cross Country Champions

Wednesday, 23 January 2013

Bolton School Junior Boys did the School proud at the AJIS cross country Championships at Rossall School.

The year 6s finished in first place, despite being under a little bit of pressure, having won last year as year 5s, but they rose to the challenge taking the trophy once again. The year 5s all ran very well too, and just finished outside the top three. There were some excellent performances all round with the first three Park Road runners coming in 3rd (J Wiggets), 4th (R Harris) and 9th (J Dick).

Over 100 children braved the bitterly cold conditions to take part in each race at the event and the races were of the highest quality. Well done to all the boys, and thanks to Rossall for hosting the event (and providing the much needed hot chocolate!) and to all parents for their support and for braving the bitter conditions.

Teams were:

Y5: L Williams-Denton, J Hill, T Funk, J Goloba, J Adedokun

Y6: J Wiggets, R Harris, J Dick, W Morris, A Inkster, G Brennan, C Jones
