Birthday Gift for Bolton Hospice
Friday, 04 October 2019
For his ninth birthday, Year 4 pupil Brody Shum asked his family and friends to make charitable donations instead of giving him presents. He raised £525 and celebrated his birthday with a trip to Bolton Hospice to hand over the funds.
He said: “I think Bolton Hospice does a great job looking after people and keeping them alive for as long as possible. I went down to the Hospice on my birthday and was really pleased when they congratulated me on raising the money.”
Bolton Hospice tweeted about his donation, saying: “Brody came down to the hospice (ON HIS BIRTHDAY!) to give us the phenomenal £525 he raised by asking for donations instead of presents. Thank you Brody and we hope you have a wonderful birthday!”
