Bolton School Boys' Division Junior School has won the Bolton
Primary Schools' 7-a-side Football Cup Final. They overcame St
Mary's Deane 6-3 in a thrilling final.
Bolton School gained the early initiative and built up a
commanding half-time lead of 5-1, with Sam Hart scoring a
hat-trick, including a penalty, while Michael Brookwell and Will
Dowie contributed one each.
Early in the second half "Mo" Seedat was put through to score
Bolton School's sixth. A spirited display from St Mary's saw them
pull back another 2 goals.
Headmaster Mr Michael Percik said: "This was a fitting finale to
a wonderful season in which our team has regularly played excellent
passing football. The last game is always remembered and I am sure
all the players, the ever faithful family supporters and I will
treasure it. Well done boys and many thanks to Mr Rashleigh and Mr
Duxbury for all the input which produced such a fine team."
