Boys’ Harvest Offering for Urban Outreach

Over 200 Junior Boys and their parents enjoyed a Harvest Assembly of singing and praying with CEO of Urban Outreach, Dave Bagley.  Mr Bagley, who collected a large haul of food items on the day, thanked the boys for their generous and kind offerings and said their contribution would help feed people in need in the town over the coming weeks. He said everyone at Bolton School should be proud of their work with Urban Outreach which is always incredible throughout the year. Last year, Urban Outreach managed to provide 68,000 individual meals to people who had fallen on hard times. 

Mrs Faulkner, Headteacher, praised the boys for their efforts and said the random acts of kindness of giving charity anonymously echoed what the school had been reinforcing throughout the term as boys had been asked to be helpful and kind to one another too. 

The assembly ended with a rousing version of We Plough the Fields and Scatter. Immediately after the Park Road assembly, Mr Bagley collected further donations from Beech House, Bolton School’s Infant School.
