Junior Boys in Year 5 at Bolton School enjoyed a presentation about the Torah from a member of the Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester. Michael Lowe visited the school to explain what the Torah is, how it is more than just a book or scroll and why it is important to Jews like him.

The boys were encouraged to ask all of their questions about the Torah and Judaism, which Michael answered openly in a way that helped boys to learn more about his religion. They found the session informative and interesting throughout.

The talk complemented the boys’ religious studies learning, which in Year 5 is focused around holy books such as the Torah, Quran and Bible.
