Boys Present Cheque to NSPCC

Karen Wood, Schools Organiser for the NSPCC, was delighted to return to Bolton School Junior Boys’ School to collect a cheque for £253.36 which was raised at the boys’ recent Spring Concert.  Earlier in the year, she had visited the Park Road school along with Chris Willetts and the NSPCC mascot Buddy to spread the message of “Speak Out Stay Safe” through an interactive morning assembly.  Gratefully accepting the donation, Karen said: “Thank you so much for all the support we have received from Bolton School Junior Boys and the staff. The boys have been a delight to work with and I hope they found the experience beneficial.”

Addressing the boys in their assembly, she told them that the money they have raised will go towards funding their Speak Out Stay Safe campaign. She said that 400 schools in Greater Manchester had been visited and children had been told who to contact, be it a teacher, parent, school counsellor or Childline, if they feel sad or unhappy or need help in anyway.
