"The classic Bolton School combination is hard work, good friends, challenging and thought-provoking teaching, a healthy desire to puncture the self-important and the sense that you can work hard to achieve things in life. "

Charity Donation After Junior School Readathon

Wednesday, 01 November 2006

The 2006 Junior Boys' School's Readathon has raised £2,607.40 for two charities - Sargent Cancer Care for Children and the Roald Dahl Foundation.

Parents monitored and encouraged their boys' reading as the amount raised by each pupil was dependent upon how many books that they read. The event served a dual purpose: it raised money for some very worthwhile causes, whilst encouraging the boys to read as much as possible.
