"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Charity Fun Run Raises £5,000

Monday, 01 May 2006

Pupils at Bolton School Junior Boys have raised £5,096.46 for the charity TB Alert, which works to eradicate tuberculosis throughout the world.  Every £20 raised will cure someone of TB.

All the junior boys got into costume for a fancy dress charity fun run around the sports field. There was also a balloon race, which was organised by the Junior School's Parents' Association. 550 balloons were released, some travelling as far afield as York and Bridlington.

Before the run, charity representatives spoke to the pupils about their work.
