"I remember my days at school vividly and with great affection. Bolton School has a great tradition in the liberal arts. I've always acted for the love of it and this first love was inspired at Hopefield, the school theatre."

Junior Boys Win AJIS Chess Trophy

Saturday, 14 November 2015

The Junior Boys’ School once again hosted the annual AJIS Chess Tournament, welcoming schools from across the North West for the competition. The rival teams also included pupils from the Junior Girls’ School.

A hugely enjoyable and at times tense day culminated in the Junior Boys winning the Under 11 section! Year 6 pupils Laurence Britton, Callum Cavanaugh, Rishi Narla, Aran Pomian and Hashir Sapra formed the winning team on the day.

Hashir also claimed the individual trophy with a 100% record.

All of the players involved showed a great deal of skill and sportsmanship on the day, and were delighted to keep hold of the trophy for another year.
