Year 6 British Schools' Biathlon Champion

Andrew Keat of Bolton School's Boys' Division Junior School has become Year 6 British Schools Biathlon Champion. Andrew, who is from Lostock and aged 11, swam 50 metres in 33.32 seconds and ran 1000 metres in 3 minutes 16.13 seconds. His swim was fifth fastest and his run fourth fastest but no one could equal his combined points total. The finals took place at Bath University on 25 February 2007. Andrew also won the competition last year when he was in Year 5.

Bolton School's Year 6 team finished 5th in the competition and the Year 5 team came in 6th in their age group.
