Bolton School Junior Girls
Physical Education
We enjoy a strong sporting tradition at Bolton School and believe that sport plays an important role in our pupils’ development. Our facilities, which include tennis and netball courts, a swimming pool, gym and extensive playing fields, are excellent.
Taught by specialist staff, the children take part in a variety of activities, such as, dance, gymnastics, netball and lacrosse during the winter and rounders, tennis and athletics in the summer. Swimming takes place throughout the year.
Years 4, 5 and 6 also visit the School’s own Outdoor Pursuits centre at Patterdale Hall in the Lake District. Supervised at all times by fully qualified instructors, they can safely enjoy a range of exciting activities such as sailing, gorge walking and abseiling. Fun and a real sense of achievement is virtually guaranteed!
I think the sports teachers are very supportive. I'm not very good at swimming but when I swam my first 25 metres they were really proud of me.
