"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Chess Success for Girls

Saturday, 06 February 2016

Under 9 and Under 11 chess teams from the Junior Girls’ School at Bolton School, performed well in the recent English Primary Schools’ Chess Association Tournament held at Park Road, the Junior Boys’ School. The U9 team gained enough points to see them progress through to the Northern Finals, which will be held in Prestatyn in June.

The chess teams also played in a recent Bolton League fixture with Janani Velayutham winning both her matches to secure a medal.
