"Reluctantly, I wait for the holidays to come. I love coming to school. I am still doing cross country...the reason why I started was because Jessica Ennis inspired me."

Coffee Morning Supports Macmillan

Friday, 25 September 2015

The Junior Girls’ School Parents’ Association has once again supported Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The P.A. came into School early to set up in the Hall, and as parents dropped off their daughters, they were able to come in and enjoy tea or coffee and cakes in exchange for a donation to the cause. Mums and dads really enjoyed having a chat over their sweet treats and it made a lovely start to everyone’s morning while also raising lots of money for charity!

Parents were invited to stay for morning assembly, which was led by Headmistress Ruth Brierley on the theme of courage.

The event raised £283 for the charity.

The Sixth Form Girls also held a cake sale in the Riley Centre to raise money for the cause.
