"There is no doubt this is a very special school with fantastic facilities and fantastic teachers who make all the difference. It's just a shame that every school in the country cannot be like Bolton School."

Sir Harry Kroto - Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry and Old Boy

Cross Country Triumph for Junior Girls

Tuesday, 18 March 2014

The Bolton Primary Schools' Cross Country Championships was a particularly wet and windy event this year! However, the pupils from Years 3 and 4 who represented the Junior Girls' School did not allow the dreadful weather to dampen their spirits! Each girl ran very well indeed - with two taking podium positions! Isabella Grainger came in 1st place and Anna Wiggetts in 2nd.

The team’s combined efforts resulted in the Junior Girls winning the Year 3/4 category and taking home the Championship trophy.

The Year 5/6 Cross Country team have also done extremely well recently. The girls have outdone themselves for the second year running with some outstanding individual and team performances.

These have resulted in the Year 5/6 Cross Country team winning the double: they came in first place in their category at both the Bolton Primary Schools' Cross Country League and Championship!
