Pupils in Year 6 enjoyed a day of drama workshops with Coronation Street’s Melissa Johns. Each class spent half the day in the Girls’ Division theatre, working through a series of fun and engaging activities with the professional actor.

The girls particularly enjoyed working in groups to create a series of five ‘freeze frames’ to tell a fairy tale: all of the groups were successful in conveying the story and it was easy for the rest of the group to guess the title they had been given. As well as learning about many different drama techniques, they also discovered the importance of listening to one another and working together.
