"The classic Bolton School combination is hard work, good friends, challenging and thought-provoking teaching, a healthy desire to puncture the self-important and the sense that you can work hard to achieve things in life. "

Fun at the Fair

Monday, 21 March 2016

Parents and pupils had fun at the annual Hesketh House Spring Fair. The Junior Girls’ School was packed filled with fun stalls and games for the occasion, as well as offering plenty of options for refreshments from wood fired pizzas and a barbeque to ice creams and sweets.

The girls and their families had fun with the many different games, all of which had lovely prizes to be won: Play Your Cards Right, the Tin Can Alley, the Teddy Tombola, Spin the Wheel, and ‘Guess the name of the teddy’ and ‘Guess how many sweets in the jar’ games. There were also plenty of activities, including meeting reptiles, a Surf Simulator, the Nail Bar and the Pink Palace Hairtique.

One of the highlights of the day was the Junior Bake Off, this year with two categories: the best tasting cake and the best decorated cake! The girls worked really hard to make their most delicious bake, or create an elaborate design for their edible decorations, and it was wonderful to see the final entries lined up together on the day of the Spring Fair.

The Year 3 girls provided entertainment on the playground in the form of a wonderful Maypole dance, which made the afternoon all the more special.
