"The classic Bolton School combination is hard work, good friends, challenging and thought-provoking teaching, a healthy desire to puncture the self-important and the sense that you can work hard to achieve things in life. "

Tuesday, 09 July 2013

Bolton School Junior Girls are the National U11 Girls’ Chess Champions!

Neha Bagewadi, Jessica Chae, Mahima Raghavendra and Sharon Daniel took part in the national finals of the EFC Schools’ Tournament held at Uppingham School.

The School booked their place in the final when a team consisting of Neha Bagewadi, Amerleen Hundle, Shivani Chohan and Jessica Chae came second in the Northern Semi Final at Cheadle Hulme School earlier in the year.

This year the ECF Girls’ U11 Championships brought together the largest ever number of girls’ schools from across the UK in the quest to win the official ECF title of Under 11 Girls’ National Schools Chess Champions and the Hesketh House girls took the crown, receiving a trophy and an engraved wooden chess board.
