As the end of term drew near, all of the Junior Girls participated in the annual Sports Day. Mrs Higgings had put together a very entertaining event with a host of different sporting activities and the girls thoroughly enjoyed competing.

Pupils pushed themselves in the sprints, while the traditional Egg and Spoon Race and Sack Race added lots of fun to the proceedings. They enjoyed taking part in the long jump and standing long jump, and tested their throwing skills in two different events. A range of ‘obstacle course’ style relays were a great additional challenge and included going through hoops, crawling under hurdles and throwing beanbags into a container from a distance.

As well as cheering from others in their house, the girls received additional support from the many parents and family members who attended the event.
