"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Girls Learn Science Through Theatre

Monday, 04 October 2010

A visit from the Kinetic Theatre - Down to Earth helped inspire, educate and entertain girls with their musical play geared to the National Curriculum for Science.  Their story of the Billing and Cooing Duck Company, working day and night to make hand-made toy wooden ducks went down exceptionally well with the girls.

During the educational and fun performance, pupils learned how shadows change throughout the day, discussed a solar eclipse and the concept of gravity, explored the water cycle in terms of molecules and had a demonstration of the Moon's effect on the tides.
