Bolton School Junior Girls got into the spirit of Christmas with
a nativity play with a difference! Many years after the 'first'
Christmas, shepherds, angels, kings, stars - all came back together
as witnesses to the great event in chat show style!
The performance of Margaret Carpenter's 'Witnesses' treated the
packed audience of parents to song, music, narration, poetry and
dance. Head of Junior Girls' School, Mrs Ruth
Brierley, welcomed everyone to the Girls' Great Hall,
before the production began with a rendition of 'In My Arms' sung
by the choir, followed by 'Good News' sung by the whole school.
Highlights included short readings, solo performances by several
girls and an enchanting star dance.
The celebration ended with renditions of 'Silent Night' sung in
French and 'Joy to the World' sung in Spanish.
