Green Fingers at Hesketh House
Wednesday, 11 July 2012
Pupils and staff at Bolton School are enjoying some home grown produce at lunch, thanks to a market garden which Hesketh House pupils helped to plant.
Late last year the girls planted one side of the garden, which contains herbs and other edible plants, while grounds staff planted the other. The garden really blossomed and the lettuce was ready to harvest. Catering staff went out to gather a couple of varieties and returned with a bounty of fresh green lettuce.
