The Junior Girls were treated to a very special Harvest Assembly this afternoon. Parents had kindly donated a wealth of items for the school’s Harvest appeal, and these were displayed at the front of the Hall as a reminder of all that can be so easily taken for granted.
All of the Harvest appeal donations will go to the charity Winter Watch, an annual project which runs during the coldest months of the year to provide support to homeless and roofless people in the local area.
Mr Dave Bagley of Winter Watch joined the girls for the second year running for their special Harvest Assembly. He delighted the girls with his poems and stories and conveyed the important message of sharing – no matter how small the gesture. He was very impressed with the girls’ beautiful singing throughout the assembly, and pleased that he could share the message of Harvest with them.
The girls sang ‘Harvest for the World’ beautifully to round off a lovely Harvest Assembly.
