"Recently I won the Mensa Child Genius Competition and I believe that it was possible because of the academic skills and the skills to perform in front of an audience and to keep calm under pressure that I acquired at Hesketh House."

Red Noses All Round!

Friday, 18 March 2011

There were plenty of Red Noses to be seen on the Hesketh House playground, and not just from the cold, as the girls entered into the spirit of fundraising for Comic Relief.

Year 4 pupil Santina Hundle was responsible for organising a school talent show 'Take the Stand' which saw girls singing or performing their own dance routines in front of their fellow pupils during lunchtimes.

The girls also set up stalls selling cakes, raffle tickets to win teddies and a giant lollipop, silly bands and tattoos, before finishing off the day with a whole school Comic Relief song performance.

The girls' hard work and consideration raised an impressive £888.74 for other people in the world less fortunate than themselves.
