"Silver Lining" for Girls' Netball Court
Friday, 20 November 2009
The netball court at Bolton School Junior Girls' School literally had a "silver line-ing" as pupils laid down silver coins (5p, 20p and 50p pieces) in an attempt to cover one line of the court during their morning break. They did this with ease and went on to cover another two and a half lines of the court. In total they covered 69 metres, only a few metres short of the whole pitch!
It was all part of the girls' efforts to raise money for the Children in Need campaign; a dress-down day and a raffle also helped raise funds for the charity. It is hoped the best part of £1,000 will be raised.
