Twelfth Night Drama Delights Junior Girls
Wednesday, 09 November 2016
An innovative interpretation of the Shakespearean romantic comedy drama Twelfth Night delighted pupils in Years 5 and 6 at Hesketh House, Bolton School’s Junior Girls’ School.
The story telling was clear, concise and meaningful, and the actors made sure to bring out all of the funny moments in Shakespeare’s text. Through the drama, the themes of love, secrecy and fear were also explored.
An abundance of audience participation helped create an exciting atmosphere and pupils were keen to undertake their parts with humour and gusto. It was wonderful to see all the girls learning in such a dynamic way.
The Young Shakespeare Company’s portrayal of Twelfth Night was a tremendous success!
