As part of World Book Week, Junior Girls at Bolton School have
been giving each other new books to discover. Every girl was
passed a book that had been wrapped up by another girl. The
fun event helped girls discover new authors and new genres and
encouraged them to widen their reading.
Year 6 pupil Harriet Flatt said:"I've really enjoyed the Unwrap
a Book activity. I usually like to read the Famous Five books, but
the book I unwrapped was Black Beauty by Anna Sewell and I was
surprised at how much I enjoyed reading it. It has opened my eyes
to other sorts of books."
