Year 6 girls at Bolton School have been working hard to re-enact
and reinterpret eight short scenes from Shakespeare's Romeo and
Juliet. Mrs Worsley, English Coordinator for Junior Girls, said:
"The benefits of drama in the curriculum are far reaching -
purposeful discussion of ideas, issues and themes; the adoption of
new roles for pleasure, effect and audience; thorough investigation
of characters and motives; learning about sequencing and developing
strategies for efficacy in team work. Pupils have thoroughly
enjoyed the learning experience."
