Our Pre-School room is separated into two areas: Caterpillars and Butterflies. Here we cover the Early Learning Goals required by OFSTED. The staff plan topics and themes which are incorporated into their daily activities with the children. These start from experiences the children have had but also include some exploration of the lives and feelings of others. It is an environment where they can feel valued and respected and where their self-esteem can grow.

The Nursery also offers a new Nursery Class for 3 and 4 year olds, which launched in 2012. The class is now firmly established, and helps prepare young children for the move to Infant School. Whilst there is plenty of fun and play, there are also more structured classes and a range of activities including attendance at Infant School assemblies, ballet lessons and swimming lessons. This is the perfect choice for families who want to join the Bolton School Family at this earlier phase.
