Butterflies Graduate from Nursery
Friday, 05 July 2019
Bolton School Nursery held a graduation ceremony for the children in the Butterfly Room, who will be moving on to ‘big school’ in September. The children were joined by family members in the Hall of Beech House Infant School for this special occasion.
Butterfly Room staff recounted some of the highlights of the year, such as Forest School and recently taking care of ducklings, and shared photos of each child’s time in Butterflies. They then handed over to the boys and girls so that they could share their favourite things about Nursery. The ceremony ended with the children singing to thank everyone who was part of their Nursery journey and dancing off the stage to a song they had chosen: ‘Can't Stop The Feeling’ from the film Trolls.
The celebration ended with a balloon release in the Nursery garden.
Each child was given a yellow balloon with a label, on which staff had written a job that the Butterflies hoped they might have one day. After a short countdown, the balloons were released in unison and flew off into the sky to the delight of all the Nursery children, staff and parents watching.
