Celebrating Books and Beasts
Thursday, 03 March 2022
The Nursery combined their celebrations of World Book Day and World Wildlife Day, which this year both took place on 3 March! The children dressed up as animal and animal-inspired characters from their favourite stories. These included The Tiger Who Came To Tea, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Cat In The Hat, The Enormous Crocodile and creatures from The Gruffalo, as well as superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man and fantastical beasts such as Zog the Dragon.
From ‘Three Little Pigs’ construction to playing house with ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’, and from feeding ‘Owl Babies’ to making animal-shaped biscuits, the whole day was filled with activities that were both animal-themed and linked to books. All of the children had a wonderful time.
World Book Day was also celebrated across the rest of the Primary Division and in the Girls’ and Boys’ Division Senior Schools.
