Children at Bolton School’s Nursery joined in the fun on World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters. There were lots of Gruffalos in attendance, but Nursery staff also spotted The Tiger Who Came To Tea, Peter Rabbit, Stick Man, Little Red Riding Hood, Elmer the Elephant and Zog and his friends from Dragon School amongst the many other characters!

The children enjoyed talking about the characters they had dressed up as and listening to stories on World Book Day.

Older children at Bolton School also had literary-themed fun on World Book Day. The Infants took part in a bookmark making competition. The Junior Boys and Junior Girls enjoyed activities throughout the day while dressed up as their favourite characters, while pupils in the Senior Schools could enjoy quizzes and reading in the library at lunchtime. The Senior Girls also dressed up, and the Senior Boys hunted for ‘Not Lost, Found!’ books that had been hidden around school.
