Children at Bolton School Nursery have enjoyed an exciting week learning about the emergency services and all the important work they do in the region.

Older children enjoyed talks from the ambulance service, which involved looking at the different vehicles they drive and when they might be needed, and the police service, who advised them on never going off with strangers and to always stay with whoever you went out with. They reassured the children that their job is all about keeping people safe.

The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service impressed by bringing in their fire engine which children from all age groups were allowed to sit in and investigate. Some lucky older children even got to hold the hose and fire water across the car park!
