Children in the Butterfly Room at Bolton School’s Nursery who will join “big school” in September celebrated their many happy memories and achievements. Parents, grandparents and other family members were invited to join them at a Leavers’ Assembly, which was held in the hall of Beech House Infant School.

The children drew pictures of their favourite thing about the Nursery, and shared what they had drawn in their own words. The children impressed the audience by singing ‘Big School, Big School’ – to the tune of ‘New York, New York’! There was also a lovely photo montage which charted each child’s progress through the Nursery.

Finally, the children danced and processed out of the hall to the tune of ‘Baby Shark’ which they had chosen for themselves.
