Nursery Parents Benefit from Transition Meeting

Monday, 17 October 2016

Parents from the Butterflies room and the Nursery Class had the opportunity to attend a transitions meeting as they start to think about their child moving up to Infant School. On the agenda was the interview process for Beech House Infant School, which Mrs Taylor, Head teacher, talked about and parents were also given advice on how best to prepare their child for the Reception Year at School.

The event also proved a great opportunity for parents to look around the three Reception classrooms and ask any questions of the knowledgeable staff who were on hand from both Bolton School's Nursery and Infant School.

The Nursery has also recently introduced ideas for a “love of learning” and these ideas have been shared with parents for home learning too; the aim is to enhance children's learning and forge strong links between home and nursery.
