Nursery Staff Raise Money in Memory of Tragic Toddler

  • When You Wish Upon A Star duathlon cheque presentation

This summer, members of staff at Bolton School Nursery took part in a duathlon to raise money for When You Wish Upon a Star in honour of Scarlett Walker, a toddler who died tragically last year.

Scarlett’s grandmother Carol Walker works at the Nursery, and it was through her that other members of staff got involved: Denis Brooks, Brenda Hesketh and Sandra Woodbridge, competing as a relay team, joined Carol for the 5km run and 22km bike ride around Rivington.

An incredible £1,080.08 was raised in memory of Scarlett. This money has been donated to When You Wish Upon A Star, a charity which raises money to grant Wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
