Nursery’s Chance to Win a Star

  • Win a Star Competition

A child at Bolton School Nursery has the chance to win a star for the Nursery as part of a national art competition.

Paris Li, one of the children in the Nursery’s Caterpillar Room, created a cute picture of a penguin as part of a Christmas card project organised by Miss Rhiannon Auger, a qualified nursery practitioner. Paris’s artwork was then chosen to go into the finals of the www.minimecardco.com National Christmas 2019 art competition. The grand prize is a star, which will be named after the winner’s nursery!

“We think creativity is vital for helping children develop,” said Miss Auger. “We really enjoyed making our art, which was made into greetings cards as part of a fundraising project, but had no idea we would get into the finals! The prizes are stars, named after the overall winners, and information about the sky at night, which will be really interesting for our children. We are keeping our fingers crossed!”

All of the nursery’s Christmas fundraising is in aid of Derian House.

The artworks will now be judged to decide the overall winners from across the UK, and the Nursery eagerly awaits the final result.
