Staff Raise Thousands in Boat Race Challenge

Staff from Bolton School Nursery finished in third place in the Salford Quays Dragon Boat Challenge!

On Saturday 17th August the nursery staff, parents, friends and family took part in the boat race at Salford Water sports centre, to raise money for the ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ charity. So far they have raised approximately £2000!

Out of 33 teams not only did they make the final and come away with third place raising lots of money for the charity, they also became the Mixed Champions of 2013, receiving medals and a trophy and repeating their success of last year.

Nursery Deputy Manager, Amanda Twigley, said: “It was a fantastic day and all the money raised will go towards 'When You Wish Upon a Star's' annual trip to Lapland on the 12th December where 10 or more very brave ill children will have their wish granted and will get to meet the real Father Christmas!!!!”
