Bolton School Nursery
Nursery Class Overview
Our Nursery Class for 3 and 4 Year Olds prepares young children for the move to Infant School and beyond.
Whilst there is lots of fun and play, there are also more structured classes and a broad range of activities for the girls and boys to enjoy, including swimming, Spanish and ballet lessons as well as Woodland Area activities.
The class prepares children for school life and routines through a combination of formal and informal learning techniques. The children follow a play-based curriculum and are provided with a mixture of independent, child initiated activities and structured, teacher led activities, examples of which include daily phonics activities, an introduction to number, and themed units of work.
Strong emphasis is placed upon developing politeness, good manners and good listening skills. Children have regular opportunities to visit Bolton School Infant School (Beech House).
By choosing Bolton School, whose Early Years Foundation Stage was deemed "outstanding" by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, you can be assured that your child will be thoroughly prepared for Infant School.
The class offers the perfect choice for families who want to join the Bolton School Family at this earlier phase with the intention of their children remaining at the School until they are 18 years old.
