Careers and Higher Education Convention: What Does the Future Hold for You?

Bolton School, Thursday 3 October 2019, 6.45pm-8.45pm 

Bolton School will host a Careers and Higher Education Convention at which students from across the region can meet representatives from universities, apprenticeship providers and the world of work to discuss their plans for the future.

Who is the convention for? 

Focused, intelligent young people, from Bolton School and other local schools, and their parents. The convention is open to all students in Years 9 to 13.

How will you benefit?

  • Training providers will be present at the event and some companies will be offering apprenticeships
  • You will gather information about the nature of the work involved and job opportunities
  • You will gain advice on qualifications and/or training required for certain careers
  • You will have time to explore teaching styles and the facilities Higher Education providers offer
  • You will have the opportunity for individual consultations with employers and admissions tutors
  • You will be able to attend seminars on a range of topics from applying for an Apprenticeship to applying to Medical School and improving your employability.
