Forty Days of Giving Benefits Urban Outreach

Children and their families from the Nursery Class and Kidzone Wraparound Care at Bolton School decided, instead of giving up something for the forty days of Lent, to give something back to the local community. Non-perishable food items have been collected over the 6 March to 21 April period and a donation made to Dave Baggley of Bolton’s Urban Outreach, which aims to feed and house the homeless.

Nursery Class Teacher, Mrs Louise Browning, said: “Laura from Kidzone and I would like to express our sincerest thanks to all the children and their families who have donated food and toiletries for our ‘40 Days of Giving’ event.

We know that Urban Outreach were extremely grateful for our generous donations and they will benefit many local families directly.”
