"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

£1,000 Raised for When You Wish Upon a Star

Wednesday, 04 December 2013

Year 8 boys at Bolton School have raised £1,000 for North-West charity, When You Wish Upon a Star.

A delighted Jen Hughes, Fundraiser for the charity, said: "This is a fantastic effort from the boys.  When You Wish Upon a Star is all about offering once in a lifetime opportunities to children that have life threatening illnesses. The money raised will pay for two seats to Lapland for sick children which is leaving on 12 December. The boys can be assured that their efforts will provide some wonderful experiences and that we really appreciate their donation."

The funds were raised earlier in the year when the whole School undertook a walk for charity from Bolton School to Rivington Pike and back. Year 8 boys also raised funds for the Lilac Centre and Help for Heroes.
