"Pupils are encouraged to volunteer, to lead, to perform, to try new things, to move outside their comfort zone and they emerge as fine, rounded, honourable young adults equipped to thrive and succeed wherever life takes them."

A Full Team of Lancashire Cricketers!

Monday, 27 September 2010

As the Lancashire Cricket Board celebrated its end of season annual presentation, it became apparent that Bolton School has provided them with enough players to make up a full team!

One girl and ten boys have represented Lancashire throughout the year - a full team's worth of players-in what proved to be an excellent year for Bolton School cricket.

Matthew Parkinson received player of the month for June as well as awards for five wickets in one match and a hat trick, and Hasib Hameed won player of the month for August and an award for being an U14 Centurian. Will Davidson and Callum Parkinson also received Centurian awards for their teams. Other pupils recognised for their Lancashire achievements were Nalisha Patel, Chris Brownlow, Johnny Dack, Liam Jenkins, Sam Towers, Henry Thompson and Liam Watkinson.
