Ben Enjoys Success with Liverpool FC

Goalkeeper Ben Maher, a Y7 pupil at Bolton School Boys' Division, enjoyed a 'Mundialito' football tournament in Spain with Liverpool FC over the Easter holidays. His team won all 4 of their group matches, playing teams from the USA, Spain and Africa, finishing top of their table going through to the knock out stages. They went on to beat Juventus in the next stage before unfortunately losing to Inter Milan in the quarter finals. It was an amazing experience with some incredible football during the week with Liverpool finishing 5th out of 60 teams from across the world. The above photos show Ben in action during the tournament.

The games no doubt provided a fine 'warm up' for Ben ahead of the School's participation in the Greater Manchester Cup final this term!
